So it is a great starting point for exploring the Pustertal valley bike path in two stages – one downstream (direction Rio Pusteria-Mühlbach) and one upstream – as well as for following the course of the Drava-Drau over the international border as far as Lienz, Austria.

Downhill & Freeride around Bruneck

Anyone staying in Bruneck has THE downhill run of the Kronplatz region right in front of their noses. It is only 4 km (2 1/2 miles) to Reischach, the valley terminal of the Kronplatz 2000 cable car. Once on top of the Kronplatz, there is a choice of four descents: the Herrnsteig, Furcia, Gassl and Piz de Plaies. The Outdoor Center with bicycle rentals, protective equipment, and guides is located right next to the valley terminal of the cable car.
